Likhachev announced the possibility of expanding Rosatom's cooperation with the United States.

Rosatom sees prospects for developing cooperation with the United States in the framework of ongoing negotiations between the two countries. This was announced on May 21 by the head of the corporation Alexey Likhachev.

"One way or another, we will be present on the European market and cooperate in the supply of uranium by the United States of America, unless another decision is made," he said.

According to Likhachev, despite the restrictions, the United States continues to purchase Russian enriched uranium because "it is profitable for them."

He also stated that Russia has practically not left the Western uranium market, and the volume and share of friendly countries is increasing.

On May 10, Likhachev announced that large-scale negotiations with the head of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Rafael Grossi, were planned for the first half of June. He added that there were many questions, the situation is changing, so it is necessary to hold official interdepartmental consultations.
