Anna Tsivileva, State Secretary, Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, Chairman of the Defenders of the Fatherland State Fund, and Konstantin Mayor, CEO of the MAER media holding, held a working meeting at which they agreed on joint activities. It is important to preserve the memory of the heroism and courage of the participants of the special military operation and to tell about their return to peaceful life: veterans continue to serve the country and benefit society.

"Together with our partner, the MAER media holding, we provide information support to veterans of the special military operation throughout the country. This is a significant job, because we talk about how defenders adapt to peaceful life when they return home, and we rejoice at their successes and achievements. It is important that the heroes defending the country can realize themselves in all areas. Cooperation with the media holding will develop not only in the field of outdoor advertising, but also in a new area of its activity — the media," said Anna Tsivileva.

"When in March, Russian President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin instructed to work out measures to support veterans of their military who want to do business, we stated that we were ready to take over the information support of this initiative. The mass media belonging to the MAER media holding have already told about the heroes of the SVO who conduct their business in the Belgorod, Nizhny Novgorod, Sverdlovsk regions, Bashkiria and other regions of Russia," Konstantin Mayor said.

The Rostov edition presented the story of Nikita Kushnarev, a veteran of the Russian Military, who created his business from scratch. In 2022-2023, he served as a volunteer in the DPR and LPR. He was awarded the medal "For Bravery". After completing his service, he received financial support for business development from the Defenders of the Fatherland Foundation and opened a photocopying center.

A native of Bashkiria, Ildar Mamadrakhimov, was also a volunteer of his military, was seriously injured, as a result of which he lost his leg. The news portal said that after returning home, the hero fulfilled his dream: he opened a business in the field of agriculture. The state helped: Ildar received a grant under the federal program "Agrostartap" of the national project "Small and medium-sized enterprises".

The Nizhny Novgorod portal quotes the words of another participant in the operation, and today the head of the metrology company, Alexander Marunchenko: "In order not to go to SVO, you can come up with a thousand excuses: a child, an old mother, a business. But you can't order your heart. My son is a cadet, and one day he will ask me, "What did you do?“ Of course, I could say that I carried humanitarian aid to Donetsk and Lugansk, but I wanted to be more than just a volunteer. Of course, after the Porsche Cayenne, going into the trenches is scary and hard. But I couldn't help but go. Something had to be done for the country."

The Defenders of the Fatherland Foundation and the MAER media holding signed a cooperation agreement in February 2024. The document provides for long-term work on the implementation of joint projects, the organization and conduct of promotional and informational events aimed at informing veterans of their military and family members of fallen soldiers about the activities of the foundation and the support measures available to them.
