On May 21, the Governor of the Stavropol Territory, Vladimir Vladimirov, ordered the restoration of a multi-storey building in Stavropol, where a gas explosion occurred in two weeks.

"I have set a deadline of two weeks for the restoration of the house. Five apartments were damaged. The explosion also damaged the glazing in the neighboring house. These consequences must be eliminated promptly," Vladimirov wrote on his Telegram channel.

He clarified that now it is necessary to promptly complete the inspection of the house structures. So far, temporary accommodation has been arranged for the residents of the entrance.

"So far, our legislation does not provide for assistance in such cases. I think this is wrong. We will fix it. He instructed us to develop draft amendments to the regional legislation," the governor added.

A gas explosion occurred in an apartment building in Stavropol on the same day. As a result of the incident, three people were injured.

Earlier, Vladimirov spoke about the elimination of the fire. He noted that specialists would subsequently inspect the building in order to plan restoration work. A criminal case was later opened into the explosion.
