The FSB has identified five defendants in the case of embezzlement of over 1 billion rubles during the implementation of the State Defense Order

FSB officers discovered five more defendants in the fraud case in the execution of the state defense order (GOZ) at three bearing plants. The amount of theft reached over 1 billion rubles. On May 21, the Office of the Federal Security Service of Russia for the Rostov Region was informed about this.

"Employees of the Federal Security Service of Russia in the Rostov region, in cooperation with the Civil Control Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia, conducted large-scale searches of the heads and owners of three bearing plants: LLC 10 GPZ (Rostov-on-Don), JSC OK-loza (Sergiev Posad), LLC GPZ-2 Tver on the theft of 1 billion rubles from the funds of the state defense order," the department quoted TASS as saying.

Law enforcement agencies have revealed that the General director and the Director of economics of LLC "10 GPP", two owners of the specified enterprise are related to the crime committed. The investigation also suspects the former deputy head of Rosstandart of Russia of stealing 1 billion rubles from the funds of the state defense order. It is specified that he, along with his immediate entourage from among the owners of the enterprise, used his official position to steal funds.

A criminal case was opened against the defendants in accordance with Part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Fraud"). Four of the detainees were arrested, and one of the owners of the company managed to escape. She was put on the federal wanted list.

Earlier, on May 20, it was reported that a criminal case had been opened in connection with the embezzlement of more than 176 million rubles from budget funds during the implementation of the State Defense Order against entrepreneur Viktor Boychuk in Stavropol.
