- The volunteers told about the conversation with Putin and the inspiration from the head of state.

The volunteers who met with Russian President Vladimir Putin in the Kursk region on May 20 told Izvestia that they were able to communicate in detail with the head of state and be inspired by new achievements thanks to him.
"The conversation was fruitful. Of course, the president gave us such a boost. We were able to talk about our activities, our work, what we do, and our plans for the future. The fact that I had a meeting with the president today is, of course, the key to our stability," said Denis Sychev, head of the Kurchatov branch of the Combat Brotherhood.
He added that the head of state gave everyone an incentive to work.
"His appearance in the Kursk region is, of course, a landmark event. They gave us all the floor, there were 19 of us colleagues. Each of us asked our own question and received a fruitful answer. The meeting was so unexpected that my throat was already dry," admitted Sychev.
Yevgeny Karachevtsev, rector of the Kurchatov Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, called the meeting with the head of state a big surprise, noting that Putin's appearance caused special feelings among all those present.
"No one expected that there would be a first person of the state. <...> Everyone, of course, has a pleasant surprise, excitement, and awe. <...> A man who historically changes our country. <...> I probably had more to tell about the activities carried out by churches. <...> The President listened attentively to everyone, showed sincere interest, and asked clarifying questions," said Karachevtsev.
Sergei Shumakov, head of the executive committee of the Popular Front in the Kursk region, noted that the meeting with Putin was held in a warm atmosphere, over a cup of tea.
"The President immediately created a trusting atmosphere by saying, 'If you want to tell us something, don't hesitate, we're here for this.' <...> There were a lot of volunteers from different organizations. <...> People were very emotional about telling the whole truth. <...> And he noted that due to the fact that everyone is such a big caring team, the victory will be ours," recalls Shumakov.
On May 20, Putin met with volunteers at the humanitarian headquarters in the Kursk region as part of a working trip to the region. Also in the city of Kurchatov, the head of state held a meeting with the heads of municipalities and inspected the construction site of Kursk NPP-2.
Alexander Kasaurov, the head of the humanitarian mission of the Popular Front youth group, told Izvestia that the support of the Russian president motivates the volunteers to work more. In addition, Alexander Sidorenko, head of the humanitarian mission of the Young Guard of United Russia in the Kursk region, stressed that the best reward for volunteers is a kind word from the president.
