A resident of Sevastopol was sentenced to 18 years in a penal colony in a case of treason and illegal trafficking of explosive devices. This was announced on Wednesday, May 21, by the press service of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Crimea.
At the same time, the FSB of Russia in the Crimea and the city of Sevastopol clarified that we are talking about a man who, on behalf of Kiev, transported components for explosives.
"The court's verdict has finally imposed a punishment <...> in the form of imprisonment for a term of 18 years to be served in a high—security penal colony," TASS reports.
It is noted that the man was recruited through a messenger, then, on the instructions of the curators, he searched for caches of explosives in the region. After the attacker removed one of the devices, he was detained.
