- The head of the rescue headquarters in Kursk called the meeting with Putin a sign of attention to the region.

During his visit to the Kursk region, Russian President Vladimir Putin met with volunteers, including representatives of the headquarters of the We Are Together movement. As Ekaterina Nelepina, head of the regional office, told Izvestia on May 20, the president listened attentively to each participant in the meeting and showed sincere interest in their initiatives.
"He heard everyone and remembered it. Vladimir Vladimirovich supports us. And I believe that not only "We are together", but also all volunteer movements," Nelepina said.
She added that despite the decrease in volunteer activity in recent months, such meetings motivate people to return to social activities.
"Volunteer help is free of charge. And our country, our region needs it," she stressed.
Denis Soldatov, Chief of the operational Staff of the All-Russian Student Rescue Corps, also appreciated the visit of the president. He called the meeting an important sign of attention to the region.
"I think this is a pleasant sign for any area. Especially when [Russian President Vladimir Putin] walks through the door and you see him, it's a delight," Soldatov said.
According to him, the president behaved simply, asked questions, was interested in the activities of young volunteers and offered help.
On May 21, the Kremlin's press service reported that Putin met with volunteers of the Popular Front at the humanitarian headquarters in the Kursk region as part of a working trip to the region. During the meeting on May 20, the Head of state condemned the destruction of World War II monuments on the territory of Ukraine.
He also ordered the creation of a separate program for the restoration of temples in the Kursk region, as the enemy was turning them "into fortresses." At a meeting with the heads of municipalities in the region, the president noted that the Russian Orthodox Church (ROC) has demonstrated throughout history that "it is always with its people."
