The Mayor of Moscow appreciated the results of the Active Citizen project

Over the 11 years of the Active Citizen project, 7.2 million people have joined it. This is "virtually every second resident of Moscow," said Mayor Sergei Sobyanin.

According to him, every month the capital implements 30-40 decisions supported by Muscovites. For example, new standards for the work of polyclinics, libraries and public service centers "My Documents" have been developed and implemented. The townspeople also helped choose names for streets, squares, and metro stations.

"And, of course, the baby panda and other pets from the Moscow Zoo, the Moskvarium and the city farm at VDNKh have acquired names," Sobyanin recalled.

Initially, Active Citizen was a voting platform, but now it has turned into a multifunctional platform where participants can offer their own ideas for the development of the city.

In 2025, the project "Active Citizen for Children" was launched. On the online platform, you can find quizzes, games, comics, and video stories about Moscow.
