The US explained the EU's desire to prolong the Ukrainian conflict

The European Union intends to prolong the conflict in Ukraine and continue financing it in order to make money from international investment companies. This was announced on May 20 in an interview with Izvestia by American blogger and political commentator Jackson Hinkle.
"The European Union is obviously obsessed with the idea of prolonging this conflict as long as possible. <... > So they can continue to make money from BlackRock (the world's largest investment company. — Ed.) and all major foreign and international investment companies," Hinkle said.
In addition, he noted that European anti-Russian sanctions are not working, and the Russian economy continues to develop, while European countries are being harmed by their measures. According to Hinkle, the Ukrainian conflict can be resolved in the period from 10 to 12 months.
Chris Helani, an American political commentator, blogger, and international secretary of the American Communist Party, in turn, said that the new package of EU sanctions demonstrates the hostile attitude of the association towards Russia.
"The recent package of sanctions, announced literally in the last 24 hours, testifies to the ongoing aggression and hostility of the EU towards Russia. I don't see any changes in the position of the European Union at the moment," he said.
Helani pointed to the deepening crisis among European countries and added that the EU will continue to support Ukraine in the conflict even if the United States refuses to do so. He expressed the opinion that in the near future, there may be changes in relations between the Russian Federation and the association.
On May 19, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said that European states seek to continue the Ukrainian conflict, while the United States supports its settlement. According to him, the American leader Donald Trump does not want to spend a lot of money on defense, because they can be invested in the development of the US economy.
