The calculation of the Msta-S self-propelled gun destroyed the AFU stronghold in the Red Army direction

The calculation of the self-propelled artillery installation (ACS) 2S19 "Msta-S" of the 90th Guards Tank Division of the Center group of forces destroyed a stronghold of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Red Army area in the special military operation zone. This was announced on May 21 by the Russian Defense Ministry.

The ministry noted that the enemy's positions, which hindered the advance of the Russian military, were discovered by operators of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). After that, the coordinates were transferred to the gunners, who promptly moved to a position where they masked the gun and aimed it at the specified coordinates.

The crew fired a 152 mm high-explosive shell, which destroyed the enemy. After completing the firing task, the soldiers disguised the gun and retreated to the shelters they had originally prepared.

"We hit different targets, we also have, starting from infantry, ending also with artillery pieces. We are practicing counter—battery warfare <...> The weapon is as accurate as possible," said platoon commander Vladimir Bulatov.

Calculations of the 2S19 Msta-S self-propelled guns perform daily firing tasks to destroy manpower, weapons, including Western-made ones, and enemy strongholds in the area of their military operations.

On May 20, the Ministry of Defense published footage of the destruction of Ukrainian drones in the area of a special military operation. It was clarified that the strike was carried out by calculations of FPV drones of the Rubicon test center for advanced unmanned technologies of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
