"Eclipse" has arrived: the second season of "Fisher" will tell about a real criminal

On May 20, the world premiere of the second season of the detective thriller "Fisher", subtitled "Eclipse", took place at the Khudozhestvenny cinema in Moscow. The plot once again centers on investigators Bokov and Kozyrev, played by Ivan Yankovsky and Alexander Yatsenko, who are on the trail of a new psychotic maniac operating in a small southern town. The team will be joined by local police officers, played by Irina Starshenbaum and debutant Nikita Khudyakov. Izvestia watched the first two episodes before the official release. About how the sequel to the hit series turned out, which criminal case formed the basis of the plot and who wanted actor Andrei Maksimov dead for the role of Fischer — in our material.
"They wrote to me that I should die the same way as these children"
The first season of "Fisher" was not just dark, but bloody and shockingly scary — at the end of the 1980s, a violent maniac begins to operate in the Moscow region, brutally murdering young boys. The seventh episode, deafening and devastating in its cruelty, a sense of hopelessness and hopelessness, culminated in the tension in which each new episode was held, when the viewer is let into Sergei Golovkin's lair, where he keeps three children, and is shown almost uncut what the monster is capable of.
Some viewers believed in the horror so much that they began to associate the actor with a real maniac. Although behind the scenes, Andrei Maksimov is not at all the embodiment of evil. On the carpet of the premiere of the second season at the "Artistic", he appeared in the most charming outfit of all — a pink cap and a light floral jacket.
— After the release of the first season, I received a lot of negative messages on social media. For example, for me to die the same way as these children. I knew this would happen even during filming, because it's still a real story, and the audience starts to associate you with your character. Although I myself treat Sergey Golovkin extremely negatively and think he's a bastard," Andrei Maksimov told Izvestia.
What is the second season of "Fisher" about
The action of "Eclipse" unfolds after Fischer finds himself behind bars awaiting the death penalty. Although the case has not been closed yet, only eleven victims are known. Meanwhile, in the small southern town of Kurortny, a new psychotic maniac begins to operate, and Evgeny Bokov, played by Ivan Yankovsky, urgently goes there. Now he's a superstar — after Golovkin's capture, the investigator is shown on TV and recognized on the streets. He's not particularly happy about fame, and judging by his gloomy appearance, he rarely smiles at all. Meeting with absolute evil has hardened Bokov, and in the new season he seems even more severe and cold.
Bokov and his partner Valery Kozyrev (Alexander Yatsenko) were helped to catch Fischer by a young investigator Natalia Dobrovolskaya, played by Sasha Bortich. The second season has a new female face. Irina Starshenbaum has joined the team, and she is convincingly adapting to her new role. Her character is the head of the local police, Nadezhda Raikina. They are similar from the side — she is also tough, and sometimes speaks the language of abuse with subordinates.
It is impossible to judge "Eclipse" by the two episodes that Izvestia watched before the official release, but both provide a powerful lead. The creators seem to be playing with the viewer's emotions — they suddenly give hope, but then cruelly take it away, leaving at least the opportunity to catch your breath and swallow the lump rising in your throat. It's not easy for the characters to digest what's happening either. A young, still green police officer, Zlobin (the creators predict a great future for debutant Nikita Khudyakov), is dragged into a fight by experienced Bokov with some local officials - one of his ways to beat out the pain when for the first time you see the body of a child whom you did not have time to save. The plot is based on real events again.
— Of course, it's quite a difficult sight. This is not an entertainment story. Unfortunately, since this happened recently and there are many people who still have it, both the victims' parents and the survivors, I would not like to talk about a real criminal case. But this is a story that happened in Russia in 1994. We were advised, as in the previous season, by Valery Kostarev, a serious investigator who led this case, among other things," producer and screenwriter Sergey Kalvarsky told Izvestia before the show.
The second season has a new director. Sergey Taramaev and Lyubov Lvova worked on the first one. "Eclipse" was directed by Alexander Tsoi, who previously worked on the fourth season of "Difficult Teenagers", the TV series "Gum" and "Bow".
— The task was, firstly, not to spoil what was done before me. I'm talking about the visual part, about the narrative style. Of course, there is fear when you are offered a second season. But after reading the first episode, I decided that I should take it. I thought it would be interesting to do this. And this suggestion sounded like a challenge, probably. I saw this as an opportunity to try to become a better person," Alexander Tsoi told Izvestia.
Alyona Dolgolenko, known to the audience, in particular, for the role of Natalia Goncharova in "The Prophet" with Yura Borisov, joined the team of the second season. Her character is the sister of police chief Raikina.
— I watch such projects myself. I like it when the hero overcomes some obstacles. In the finale, the maniac is caught one way or another, and in the end there seems to be a feeling that not everything is lost, but evil will be defeated. The investigators are real superheroes," Alyona Dolgolenko told Izvestia.
Attended the premiere of "Fisher. Eclipse" and Leonid Kanevsky is the main representative of tru—edge on Russian television, however, this is a completely different story, as he himself would say. Among the guests of the closed screening were also actors Slava Kopeikin, Elena Nikolaeva, Elizaveta Bazykina, Mila Yershova, Diana Milutina, Alla Sigalova and many others. Viewers will be able to see the sequel to the thriller in an online cinema. Wink.ru A week later, the first episode premieres on May 29.
