Stavropol authorities called for alcohol-free school graduations

The Minister of Education of the Stavropol Territory, Maria Smagina, suggested holding graduation parties on school grounds. In her opinion, it is easier to control the absence of alcoholic beverages at the celebration there, the press service of the regional government reported on Tuesday, May 20.

Graduation ceremonies in secondary educational institutions for 9th grade students will be held on June 27, and for 11th grade students on June 28. Teenagers will be awarded certificates, and excellent students will also receive medals.

As Smagina emphasized, graduation is a children's holiday that will remain in the memory for a lifetime. According to her, before the celebrations, video cameras will be checked at schools and lists of those who have the right to enter the building will be compiled, and hand-held metal detectors will be distributed to the guards.
