The Rassvet project from the Bureau 1440 aerospace company is being developed in Russia, which will be a response to the American Starlink satellite communications system. This was announced on May 20 by the head of Roscosmos, Dmitry Bakanov.

"First of all, we will provide a Starlink with the project "Dawn" from Bureau 1440 in our response. We will also have low—orbit broadband," he said.

According to him, the implementation of this project will make it possible to control Russian drones with increased accuracy.

He added that a strategic meeting with Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin had supported a revised national space project. Bakanov stressed that the new national project includes the projects "Space Science" and "Space Atom".

On April 16, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that a new national project for the development of the space industry should be approved in Russia in the near future. He noted that within the framework of the new national project, the immediate and long-term goals of the Russian space program will be formulated. Putin added that the implementation of the national project in the space industry should, among other things, contribute to the deployment of a drone system in Russia.

On the same day, Putin noted that the expedition to Mars is a grandiose task, but there are a number of issues that need to be resolved for this. The President added that Russia is an attractive partner for other countries in deep space exploration.
