The IDF announced the elimination of the commander of the Hezbollah combat wing in southern Lebanon.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF), as a result of a strike on southern Lebanon, eliminated the field commander of the militant wing of the Shiite Hezbollah movement. This was reported by the Army press service on May 20.

"The IDF struck and eliminated the commander of the Hezbollah Al-Mansouri complex in Al-Mansouri in southern Lebanon," the Telegram channel says.

According to the IDF, throughout the entire period of hostilities, the liquidated commander planned numerous terrorist acts against Israel. It is clarified that he is responsible, among other things, for attempts to restore Hezbollah's combat potential in Mansouri and facilitate the transfer of weapons.

At the same time, Israel maintains troops in five positions in southern Lebanon.

On April 27, the IDF attacked a Hezbollah precision-guided missile depot in Beirut. According to the i24NEWS TV channel, the Israeli army launched an attack after its representative Avihai Adrai addressed the residents of the area.
