On May 24, the largest half marathon in the country's history, the Race.RF, will be held in Moscow with the support of the Russian Ministry of Sports and the Moscow Department of Sports. This year, about 40,000 people will start in the capital, which will be a record among all running events ever held in Russia.

The half marathon will be held for the 9th time and starts simultaneously in all regions of the Russian Federation from Kamchatka to Kaliningrad. In total, more than 180,000 runners from all over Russia will take part in the race. The organizers offer 4 distances to choose from: 1 km, 5 km, 10 km or 21.1 km. Anyone over 6 years old can become a participant.

In 2023, other countries joined the race for the first time, and this year its geography has expanded to as many as 4 continents. On May 24, 25 more countries will run together with Russia: China, Brazil, Egypt, Serbia, Belarus, Bahrain, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Bangladesh, Venezuela, India, Jordan, Malaysia, Nepal, Saudi Arabia, Kyrgyzstan, Armenia, Pakistan, Chile, Lebanon, Tunisia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Abkhazia. The event there will be called One Run and will bring together more than 40,000 people. The start time may vary depending on time zones, specifics, and weather conditions.

The 21.1 km and 10 km routes in Moscow are certified by the Association of International Marathons and Runs (AIMS). The start and finish of all the distances will take place in the very center of the city – on Vasilyevsky Descent, and the routes are laid out with views of the most iconic places of the capital. Participants will be able to see the Kremlin, the Cathedral of Christ the Savior, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Government House and other attractions from an unusual angle of the empty streets of the capital, free of cars and streams of people. For the first time, the city will belong to runners all day.

Each participant will receive a branded T-shirt with the start symbol and a medal at the finish. A special fan zone with an entertainment program for guests, fans and participants will also be open during the event.

Moscow will also take part in the battle for the title of the fastest half marathon runners in the country among men and women, as well as for the title of the running capital of Russia, which traditionally takes place within the framework of the "Race.RF". So, in 2017 and 2018, Kazan became it, in 2019 – Vladivostok, in 2020 and 2022 – Nizhny Novgorod, in 2021 – St. Petersburg, in 2023 – Lipetsk, in 2024 – Magadan. The running capital is determined by three criteria: the average mileage of all participants, and the percentage of participants in the "Race.RF" to the total population of the city, the average running speed of the participants. The winning city receives a rolling Cup, which is engraved with the winners of previous years, starting in 2017.

As part of the half marathon, a corporate relay race will be held, divided into 4 stages. The organizers pay special attention to the development of a culture of fans and support throughout the race. More than 30 support points will be waiting for participants in Moscow. Free paraphernalia is provided for fans: rattles, tattoos, as well as the kokoshniks and caps that everyone has loved since last year, which will once again become an integral symbol of this year's support.

It will be possible to watch the large-scale sports festival during a live broadcast on Match TV. Guests and participants of "Run.RF" from various time zones of Russia, as well as from other countries, will be broadcast.

For those who will not be able to start on May 24, the organizers have prepared an online format of the race.
