Starting from June 1, 2025, the cost of tickets for public transport in the capital will be adjusted by an average of 5%, the Moscow Department of Transport reported.

The cost of a one—time trip by metro, MCC, MCD in Moscow, and land urban passenger transport on a Wallet ticket on a Troika card will be 67 rubles instead of 63 rubles, and in the suburbs - 90 rubles instead of 84. Transfers from a route to a land transport route, as well as between rail modes of transport, will continue to be free of charge. This adjustment is carried out in order to compensate for the growing costs of carriers for fuel, electricity, spare parts and other necessary materials, the Deptrans emphasized.

In addition, starting from June 1, the cost of moving and storing vehicles in the capital will change, while it will remain lower than the actual cost of the city for evacuation. Also for 2 rubles (from 5 to 7 rubles The cost of travel along the Moscow High-speed Diameter during critically busy hours will be indexed. Travel remains free 70% of the time on weekdays, as well as on weekends and holidays. The cost of transit travel does not change.

The funds received from the tariff indexation will be used to ensure high-quality and reliable operation of urban transport, further upgrade of infrastructure, development of passenger services and ticket system.

"Currently, inflation is over 10%. Even taking into account the adjustments, fares for public transport in the capital invariably remain below inflation from year to year. At the same time, the cost of transportation in Moscow is significantly lower in many ways than in other major Russian cities, and this is despite the fact that residents of the capital make the longest trips using different types of transport. At the same time, we all see that in no other Russian city is transport developing as rapidly and on such a large scale as in Moscow," said Dmitry Zavyalov, Head of the Department of Entrepreneurship and Logistics, Dean of the Faculty of Higher School of Economics and Business of Plekhanov Russian University of Economics.
