Explosions on an oil platform off the coast of Angola injured 16 people
Explosions have occurred on an oil platform in Angola's Cabinda province, injuring at least 16 people. This was reported by Novo Jornal on May 20.
It is noted that the explosions began at about three o'clock in the morning (05:00 Moscow time.)
"As a result of an explosion on an oil platform in Cabinda this morning, at least 16 people were injured," the article says.
According to the newspaper, there is no information about the dead, but several men with serious burns were evacuated to the capital, Luanda.
On May 12, it was reported that an explosion during the disposal of decommissioned ammunition in the village of Sagara in the Indonesian province of West Java killed 13 people — nine civilians and four soldiers. The chief of Staff of the army, General Maruli Simanjuntak, clarified that the causes of the explosion were being established.
