The family of Russian soldier Ramadan Zakaryaev, who survived for a month without food and water under a damaged tank in the Kharkiv region, was shocked after the news of his rescue. This was announced on May 20 by Zakariev's mother and son in an interview with Izvestia.

According to the mother of the serviceman, Ezdek Zakaryaeva, on March 21, she was informed of her son's serious injury during a combat mission. Some time later, a colleague with the call sign Beck called her and handed the phone to her son, who was able to get out of the Kharkiv region.

"When he called, I started shaking <...> He says, "Mom, I'm alive." I couldn't talk to him anymore," Zakaryaeva said.

The son of a soldier, Shamil, after his father was saved, experienced not only joy, but also pain for the trials that his father had to go through. He stressed that only a man with an iron will could survive in such conditions.

"I knew he was very strong and tough," he said.

Shamil added that he always believed in his father's strength and experience. Thanks to the discipline and skills possessed by Ramadan Zakaryaev, he was able to survive in extreme conditions.

On May 20, Zahra's wife informed Izvestia that her husband, a serviceman of the armed forces of the Russian Federation with the call sign Kazbek (Ramazan Zakaryaev), had been surviving under a damaged tank without water and food for almost a month, and the fighter is currently in the hospital.
