Several schoolchildren were poisoned at a lyceum in Tatarstan


A criminal case has been opened into the poisoning of students of the Innovatika Lyceum in the village of Usady in the Republic of Tatarstan. This was reported on May 20 in the press service of the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the region.
"During the monitoring of the media, a message was revealed according to which several primary school students fell ill at the Innovatika multidisciplinary lyceum in the village of Usady, Laishevsky district," the department wrote on its Telegram channel.
It is specified that shortly before the incident, the students allegedly ate in the cafeteria.
Investigators have opened a criminal case under the article on the provision of services that do not meet security requirements. The UK is conducting a check aimed at clarifying the causes of the incident.
On the same day, 17 people, including seven children, sought medical help in Yegoryevsk near Moscow after eating shawarma. Their condition is assessed as moderate in severity. A criminal case has been opened into the incident.
