Seven tourists, who had been missing since 2024 after the Sea Story yacht crashed in the Red Sea near the Egyptian city of Marsa Alam, did not survive. This was reported on May 19 by The Independent, citing the Egyptian authorities.

It is specified that after the incident, the bodies of four people were found, and 33 people were also rescued. The rest of the travelers were reported missing.

"The Egyptian authorities have officially declared seven people, including five foreign tourists, dead as a result of a tragic ship accident in the Red Sea," the publication says.

According to the newspaper, two Britons, two Poles, two Egyptians and one German were among the dead.

The yacht with 31 tourists on board sank in November last year near the Egyptian city of Marsa Alam. There were also 14 crew members on board at the time of the incident. It is specified that there were no Russians among them.
