A criminal case has been opened in Pervouralsk over the beating of a 12-year-old girl by a group of teenagers. This was reported on May 20 in the Investigative Department (SU) of the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia in the Sverdlovsk region.

"A criminal case has been opened on the grounds of a crime under Part 2 of Article 213 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Hooliganism committed by a group of persons"). The punishment for committing this crime is provided for up to seven years in prison," the department's Telegram channel clarifies.

The regional prosecutor's office added that the incident occurred on May 18, 2025. The girl was surrounded by a group of teenagers, after which one of the girls inflicted bodily injuries on a 12-year-old schoolgirl.

"During the supervisory measures, the staff of the prosecutor's office will assess compliance with the requirements of legislation on the protection of the life and health of minors, as well as an assessment of the work carried out by the bodies and institutions of the prevention system," the Telegram channel of the department reports.

On April 22, the principal of school No. 2120 in Moscow was fired after students complained of systematic beatings and harassment by high school students. After reports of bullying at the school appeared, Alexander Bastrykin, Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, instructed him to personally report on the progress of the inspection at the educational institution.
