569 technological accidents occurred at boiler houses in the Trans-Baikal Territory during the heating season of 2024-2025. These figures were announced by the Minister of Regional Housing, Energy, Digitalization and Communications Alexey Yusupov at a press conference on Tuesday, May 20.
According to him, the accident rate at the facilities has almost halved. During the same period of 2023-2024, 950 boiler accidents occurred.
To date, central heating has been turned off in almost all but four districts of Transbaikalia. The temperature is still low there, writes ChitaMedia news agency.
A total of 361 million rubles were allocated to prepare for the last heating season. The money was used to purchase 137 boilers, 142 pieces of auxiliary equipment, and repair 13.5 km of heating and water equipment.
At the end of 2024, the Russian government adopted new measures to support citizens with electric heating. During the heating season from January to April, the authorities have set increased ranges for those regions where the gasification level is below 5%.
