- Polish presidential candidate calls for restrictions on the rights of unemployed Ukrainians

Unemployed citizens of Ukraine in Poland should have fewer rights than Poles. This was stated to journalists on May 20 by Polish presidential candidate, leader of the opposition Law and Justice party Karol Nawrocki.
"Those Ukrainians who work in Poland, who are building the Polish economy, of course enjoy all the civil rights they are entitled to. At the same time, I believe that those Ukrainians who do not work, do not create Polish GDP, should not enjoy the same social support as citizens of the Polish state," said Navrotsky, whose speech was broadcast live on TVP.
According to the politician, he intends to put the interests and safety of Polish citizens at the forefront.
"We are at home, we are in Poland, and we must take care of the support of Polish citizens," Nawrocki said.
According to him, Polish families should not pay extra to Ukrainians who are not even trying to work in the country.
Nawrocki and Warsaw Mayor Rafal Trzaskowski, a representative of the ruling Civic Coalition party, reached the second round of the Polish presidential election on 18. It is reported that Trzaskowski received 30.8% of the vote, Navrotsky was supported by 29.1% of voters. The second round of elections is scheduled for June 1.
