The media reported massive outages of Spain's main mobile networks

All major mobile communication networks have been shut down in many regions of Spain. This was reported by the Daily Mail on May 20.
It clarifies that companies such as Movistar, Orange, Vodafone, Digimobil and O2 have been affected. Experts say that the reason for the massive failure is the implementation of "network modernization works" by the telecommunications company Telefonica.
"We are working to resolve this issue, and some of the affected services have already been restored, such as the 112 emergency service, which has now resumed operations," the organization said.
Among the affected regions of Spain were Madrid, Andalusia, Galicia, the Basque Country, Aragon, Extremadura and Navarre, the newspaper notes.
Large-scale power and communication outages occurred in Spain and Portugal on April 28. Major cities such as Valencia, Barcelona, Madrid, La Coruna and Seville were affected, and serious disruptions also occurred at Madrid—Barajas International Airport.
In the evening of the same day, Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez announced the restoration of electricity in half of the country. Due to the incident, a state of emergency was introduced in the country.
