The Federal Tax Service of Russia (FTS) has recorded high-level DDoS attacks from abroad on its servers from 8 a.m. on May 19 to the present. On May 20, the service reported this in response to a request from Izvestia.

"The attack volume averages 40 Gbit/s, while the maximum volume reached 162 Gbit/s. At the moment, the attack on the services of the service continues," the department noted.

The Federal Tax Service added that the security and infrastructure management systems are operating normally, user data is securely protected, and there is no intrusion into the infrastructure.

"The Information Security Service of the Federal Tax Service of Russia is working in an enhanced mode together with the relevant departments of the telecom operator. From time to time, short—term unavailability of electronic services of the Federal Tax Service is possible, caused by an increased load on the equipment of telecom operators," the department explained.

Earlier that day, it became known that the websites of the Federal Tax Service, Gosklyuch and the Honest Sign system had malfunctioned. Later, the CRPT (the Operator of the state marking system "Honest Sign") reported that the marking system was working stably, no failures were recorded.
