In Yegoryevsk, near Moscow, after eating shawarma, 17 people, including seven children, sought medical help. This was announced on May 20 by the Ministry of Health of the Moscow region.

"At the moment, six people are in the hospital, including four children," the agency's press service told RIA Novosti.

It is specified that their condition is assessed as moderate severity.

The Telegram channel of the Moscow Region Prosecutor's office reported that a criminal case had been opened under Part 1 of Article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Production, storage, transportation or sale of goods and products, performance of works or provision of services that do not meet safety requirements") in connection with the mass treatment of local residents with signs of poisoning.

In Saratov, on May 5, the activity of the Georgian Shop cafe was suspended for 60 days, in which 10 people were poisoned. The reason for the closure of the institution was a message from the regional center for hygiene and Epidemiology about the hospitalization of people with acute intestinal infection, of which four cases were definitively diagnosed with salmonellosis.
