A service to protect against fraud appeared on the Gosuslug portal.

A new digital service called "Life Situation" has been launched on the Gosuslugi portal, designed to protect citizens from fraudulent activities on the Internet. This was reported on May 20 by TASS with reference to Dmitry Grigorenko, Deputy Prime Minister and Chief of Staff of the Russian government.
According to the report, the new section combines all available anti-fraud tools. Among them is the opportunity to check your credit history, issue a self—ban on loans, find out the number of SIM cards registered in the user's name, and file a complaint about suspicious online resources. There is also a function for evaluating suspicious calls, and if necessary, the service helps you find the nearest MFC to seek help.
"All anti—fraud tools are now gathered in one place," Grigorenko said.
According to him, the service creates a unified and comprehensive digital security system that not only minimizes risks for users, but also makes it difficult for fraudsters to work.
He stressed that the launch of the service is especially relevant in the context of an increasing number of cybercrimes, when even knowledgeable users can become victims of increasingly sophisticated schemes.
On April 13, the Interior Ministry warned about a new scheme of identity theft through "Public Services". Fraudsters steal victims' personal data from profiles on the Gosuslugi portal by making a phone call, during which they introduce themselves as employees of medical institutions and offer to undergo a medical examination.
In order to protect yourself from fraudsters, a person needs to come up with and set complex passwords, the Interior Ministry advised. Another way is to install a two-factor authentication system.
