The police told about fines for phone scammers for violating protocols

Scammers treat their activities like a business. This was announced on May 20 by Denis Kostin, Deputy Head of the Department for combating Property crimes committed in the field of computer information at the UBK of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, at the Izvestia News Center as part of a round table on "Protection against telephone and Internet fraud.": security strategies".

According to him, scammers are forbidden to admit that they are scammers until the victim hangs up. They are also monitored by managers and fined for this. Moreover, scammers call from professional call centers.

In addition, Kostin confirmed that most of these calls come from Ukraine.

Earlier, on May 14, Igor Bederov, director of the Internet Search company, told Izvestia about how to protect yourself from fraud through pick-up points by ordering. He explained that deception can be detected primarily by an unexpected call "from the delivery service" without prior notification through the official application or email.
