Russian President Vladimir Putin, after talks with American leader Donald Trump, confirmed Russia's commitment to a peaceful settlement of the conflict in Ukraine. This was announced on May 20 by Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.

"Russia stands for a fair settlement of the Ukrainian crisis, this position was confirmed during the telephone conversation between Putin and Trump," Lavrov said.
