Traffic will be blocked in the center of Moscow on May 24 in connection with the half marathon.

Due to the half marathon on May 24, several central embankments and streets in Moscow, as well as a section of the Garden Ring, will be temporarily closed to traffic. This was announced on May 20 by the Moscow Department of Transport in its Telegram channel.

Thus, traffic will be restricted at various times on Moskvoretskaya Street, Varvarka Street, Maly Moskvoretsky Bridge, Bolshaya Ordynka, Bolshaya Polyanka, Zhitnaya and Mytnaya streets, Smolenskaya Street, Krymsky Passage, Prechistenskaya, Moskvoretskaya and Kremlevskaya embankments.

And also on the Garden Ring from house 20 on Valovaya Street to house 15 on Novinsky Boulevard, on the understudy of the outside of Novinsky Boulevard from Novy Arbat Street to Smolenskaya Square, at the exits from Ostozhenka Street towards Zubovsky Boulevard.

Parking is prohibited in the time-restricted areas from 00:01 on May 24 until the end of the event, the Department of Transport warned.

The day before, it was reported that in May, paid parking will start operating in four more cities of the Moscow region. From May 20, paid parking will be launched in Lyubertsy and Dzerzhinsky, and at the end of May — in Krasnogorsk and Podolsk. In total, more than 700 parking spaces, including for the disabled, will be organized on 12 city streets.
