More than 3,000 students of the humanities building of Lomonosov Moscow State University have been transferred to distance learning due to a reported case of measles. This was reported to Izvestia on May 20 by the university's press service.

"In connection with the registration of one case of measles in a student of the Faculty of Philology of Lomonosov Moscow State University, a full range of anti—epidemic measures is being carried out: a circle of contact persons has been identified, comprehensive measures have been taken to prevent the spread of the disease," the report says.

Currently, the situation is under the control of the Moscow State University administration and the Department of Rospotrebnadzor in Moscow.

In October last year, an outbreak of measles occurred in the Perm Region, where representatives of the Roma population who had not been vaccinated against the disease were ill. Many of the patients were wedding guests. Also present at the celebration was a resident of the Sverdlovsk region, who was found to have infected the others.
