Sobyanin appreciated the work of street fairs

Weekend fairs in Moscow have been visited by 2 million customers since the beginning of the year. More than 40 regions of the country supply fresh products for sale there, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin noted in his Telegram channel.

This trade format is very popular among the townspeople, Sobyanin stressed. The leaders in demand are vegetables and fruits, which are mainly imported from the Tambov and Lipetsk regions, Krasnodar Territory and Crimea, the mayor said. The Murmansk region is a leader in the supply of fish products.

Currently, there are more than 50 weekend fairs in Moscow. Seasonal points resumed operation on April 11. Year-round playgrounds were opened in January.
