Within the framework of the Russian-Chinese forum "Bolshoy Ussuriysky: cooperation in the joint development of the island" in the Khabarovsk Territory, the export of foam drinks from the Russian Federation to China was discussed. This was announced on May 20 by Roman Degtyarev, director of the Baltika-Khabarovsk branch, in an interview with Izvestia.

"Exports to China have been carried out since 2001. It all started in St. Petersburg. After the plant was built, the Khabarovsk Territory became the main export site in 2004," Degtyarev said.

He also noted that Chinese consumers love and appreciate Russian foam products. In particular, they like exclusive drinks — unfiltered and strong varieties.

"China's share in the foreign trade of our region exceeded 60% last year. We are interested in ensuring that contacts between business representatives and the Chinese side are constantly developing," says Dmitry Demeshin, Governor of the Khabarovsk Territory, on his personal Telegram channel.

The publication notes that during the forum, a working meeting was also held between Jiang Xiaoyang, Consul General of the People's Republic of China in Khabarovsk, and Zhou Lijunei, Chairman of the Union of Chinese Entrepreneurs in Russia. They discussed bilateral cooperation between the two countries. As Demeshin noted, China has been the Khabarovsk Territory's main foreign economic partner for the past decade.

According to the governor, the forum "Bolshoy Ussuriysky: cooperation in the joint development of the island" attracted more than a thousand investors, entrepreneurs and businessmen.

"There are special preferential regimes in the territory of the region: the territory of advanced development and the free port. We expect that Bolshoy Ussuriysky Island can become a pilot testing ground for launching experimental legal regimes for investors," the governor clarifies.

The large-scale Russian-Chinese forum, the concept of which was approved by Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping, kicked off on May 19. Dozens of different meetings will take place simultaneously in the halls and offices. The participants of the event discuss economics, politics, trade, culture, linguistics, and ecology during the meetings.
