- Peskov: Russia and Ukraine will work out the text of the memorandum, but there will be difficult contacts

Moscow and Kiev will have difficult contacts to work out a single text of a memorandum on a peace treaty and a cease-fire. This was announced on May 20 by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.
According to him, the draft documents will be formulated by both sides, after which they will be exchanged and "difficult contacts will begin to develop a single text."
"There are no deadlines and there cannot be. It is clear that everyone wants to do this as quickly as possible, but, of course, the devil is in the details," the Kremlin spokesman stressed.
Peskov added that there are no concrete decisions on the place of continuation of bilateral contacts yet.
Russian President Vladimir Putin and American leader Donald Trump had a telephone conversation on May 19, which lasted more than two hours. During the conversation, the Russian leader expressed gratitude for the participation of the American side in the resumption of direct talks between Russia and Ukraine. Now the presidents are faced with the task of determining the most "effective ways to move towards peace."
