The demand for puzzles has increased in Russia

The number of sales of classic puzzles in Russia increased by 18%. Atol analysts came to this conclusion after conducting a study of anonymized sales data for January-May 2024-2025 on the eve of the "Rubik's Cube Birthday".

"The most famous Rubik's Cube format (3x3) was bought 35% more often. Its average purchase price was 419 rubles, which is 11% cheaper than last year. The demand for a lighter version of this puzzle, the 2x2 format, increased by 6%. And its cost was 440 rubles, which is 3% cheaper than in 2024. Rubik's Cube in 5x5 format was bought by 70% more, and its average price remained at the level of last year — 523 rubles," the study says.

The demand for the Rubik's pyramid decreased by 6%, and the average purchase price was 436 rubles. The snake puzzle cost Russians an average of 257 rubles, and demand for it increased by 14%.

Analysts at the Moneyplace service (part of the Kontur ecosystem) told Izvestia on April 29 that Russians spent more than 4 billion rubles on anti-stress toys last year. According to the results of the study, last year the total sales of anti-stress toys on marketplaces amounted to 4.4 billion rubles, which is 81% higher than in 2023 and 126% higher than in 2022.
