The calculation of the CBT "Solntsepek" destroyed the AFU stronghold in the special operation zone

The calculation of the Solntsepek heavy flame-throwing system (CBT) of the Vostok group of forces destroyed a stronghold of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Yuzhnodonets direction of the special military operation (SVO). This was announced by the Russian Defense Ministry on May 20.

The ministry noted that the positions of the Ukrainian militants were discovered by operators of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). Engineering barriers, firing positions, and a fortification system were built at the stronghold.

Immediately after receiving the coordinates, the soldiers of the TOS-1A Solntsepek patrol arrived in advance at the deployment site of the combat vehicle, where they conducted a reconnaissance of the area. After arriving at the firing position, the CBT crew fired 220 mm rockets.

As a result of the use of thermobaric ammunition, the stronghold was completely destroyed along with the manpower and equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Hundreds of changes have been made to the design of the products since the beginning of the special operation.

On May 19, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported that Russian military personnel destroyed the equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the area of a special military operation in the Sumy region. The ministry added that unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) were used during the destruction.
