Director Shome talked about the work on the spin-off of the animated film "The Trio from Belleville"

French director Sylvain Chaumet has revealed that he is working on creating a spin-off to his animated film "The Trio from Belleville" based on a story written 25 years ago.

"The film I'm currently working on is a spin—off of The Belleville Trio. <...> Another story about The Trio that I wrote 25 years ago at the same time, but which I didn't make. I'm currently working on a storyboard, so you can tell the Russian audience that there will be a new film in three years," the director said in an interview with Izvestia.

According to him, this film will be presented after the release of the movie A Magnificent Life. In addition, he clarified that he plans to come to many places, including Russia.

On the same day, Shome said that he would like to come to Russia to personally present his new work A Magnificent Life. A Magnificent Life is a film about the great French director, playwright and writer Marcel Pagnol. The film will be widely released in the fall, in Russia in December.
