On the eve of the tourist season, cooks, administrators and maids have become the most in-demand employees in the field of hospitality and catering, the recruitment services told Izvestia.

Employers in the field of tourism and hospitality are most actively looking for chefs, bakers, managers and heads of administrative functions in the spring, said the Director of research. hh.ru Maria Ignatova.

"Almost every fifth vacancy is for administrators of establishments, as well as for waiters, bartenders and baristas. Cleaners are also among the top five in demand," she said.

The number of vacancies in the field of tourism and hospitality increased most noticeably in Dagestan in April this year, said Roman Gubanov, Director of Development at Avito Rabota.

"The specialists who influence the quality of service turned out to be the most in demand: maids, waiters and administrators. In Dagestan, the number of vacancies for maids has increased by more than 2.5 times, and for waiters — by 81%," he said.

The Republic of Altai took the second place in terms of growth in demand for personnel in the tourism sector, and Karelia took the third place.

The median salary offered for the first four months of this year was 58.6 thousand rubles, which is 21% more than last year, Maria Ignatova added. Applicants expect a median income of 60 thousand.
