The Russian Federation and the DPRK will exchange several high-level delegations by the end of the year. This was stated to Izvestia by the Russian Ambassador to the DPRK, Alexander Matsegora.

"I think we will exchange several more high-level delegations before the end of the year, including on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the DPRK (August 15) and the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Workers' Party of the DPRK (October 10). The lively delegation exchange will continue along the parliamentary and Foreign Ministry lines," he stressed.

Earlier, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrei Rudenko spoke about preparations for Kim Jong-un's visit to Russia. The Korean leader also visited the Russian Embassy on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of victory in the Great Patriotic War.

"This year our countries celebrate several important events in their history. For us, the main holiday was, of course, Victory Day, the 80th anniversary of which we recently celebrated. There was no official DPRK delegation in Moscow these days, but it was more than blocked by a visit to our embassy by the Chairman of State Affairs of the DPRK, Comrade Kim Jong-un. Since the territory of the diplomatic mission belongs to the state it represents, we can say that the DPRK was represented at the highest level in Russia on this holiday," the diplomat said.
