On May 20, the Ministry of Defense reported on the exploits of Russian military personnel in the area of a special military operation (SVO).

The ministry noted the actions of the guard of Private Alexei Pugachev, who, acting as part of the artillery gun crew, carried out the task of supporting the advancing Russian units.

During the intense shooting, Pugachev detected an approaching kamikaze drone of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) and hit it with accurate fire from personal small arms. The unmanned aerial vehicle detonated and injured the arm of a private guardsman. He gave himself first aid and continued to complete the task.

Thanks to his precise actions, the enemy's firing points were destroyed, which allowed the Russian military to advance to new positions.

In addition, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that Private Konstantin Prishchepa, as part of an assault unit, was tasked with destroying enemy strongholds, weapons and military equipment in an important area.

During the assault on enemy positions, one of the Russian servicemen was wounded by fire and could not move independently. Prishchepa pulled his friend out from under fire and provided him with the necessary assistance, after which he evacuated the wounded man to a field hospital.

Thanks to his courageous decisions, the serviceman was able to provide timely medical care, which reduced the speed of his rehabilitation.
