Trump: the conversation with Putin went very well

The American leader Donald Trump called his telephone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin very good. He announced this on May 19 on his page on the Truth Social network.

"The tone and spirit of the conversation were excellent. If this were not the case, I would say it right now, not later," Trump wrote.

He noted that Russia and Ukraine will begin negotiations on a cease-fire.

"The conditions for this will be agreed upon between the two sides, as this is possible only because they know the details of the negotiations that no one else knows about," the US president said.

Trump added that after the end of the Ukrainian conflict, Russia is interested in resuming large-scale trade with the United States.
