SHAMAN spoke about his enthusiasm for the upcoming Intervision contest

Honored Artist of Russia, author and performer of SHAMAN (real name Yaroslav Dronov), in an interview with Izvestia on May 19, noted that he was excited about his upcoming participation in the international music competition Intervision and felt a great responsibility.

"I feel a lot of responsibility, excitement and inspiration at the same time. So many people believed in me so much that they trusted me to represent our country at an international competition. It's not a simple musical competition," he said.

As Dronov pointed out, it depends on how the competition will be held this year, what it will become in the future.

"That's also why it's very exciting to be a pioneer, to stand at the origins of a great event that should connect the cultures of different countries and become a good tradition," the artist concluded.

On May 19, it became known that SHAMAN will represent Russia at the international music competition "Intervision" on September 20, 2025.

On April 30, it was reported that the Intervision International Music Competition would be held on September 20 at the Live Arena in Moscow. The competition is a platform for cultural exchange and demonstration of mutual respect for the traditions of the participating countries.

Mikhail Shvydkoi, Special Representative of the President of Russia for International Cultural Cooperation, said on February 11 that representatives from over 20 countries would take part in the Intervision contest.
