Russia and Iran discussed the implementation of joint infrastructure projects in Tehran

From May 18 to May 19, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrei Rudenko was in Iran, where he took part in the Tehran Dialogue International Forum. During it, he discussed the implementation of joint infrastructure projects in the republic. This was announced on May 19 on the official website of the Russian Foreign Ministry.

"He was received by Iranian Foreign Minister [Abbas ]Araqchi, and separate consultations were held on bilateral and regional issues with Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs [Majid] Takht-Ravanchi," the publication says.

As a result of the meeting, the two sides expressed mutual satisfaction with the further strengthening of relations. Iran also spoke about the ratification of the new interstate treaty, which was signed by the two heads of state in Moscow on January 17. According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the entry into force of the document will contribute to the intensification of multifaceted mutually beneficial cooperation.

In addition, the parties discussed international and regional issues during the meeting.

Earlier, on May 14, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov announced a high level of development of relations between Russia and Iran in various directions. He also noted that Russian President Vladimir Putin plans to come to Iran on an official or working visit.
