Putin spoke about Roldugin's influence on introducing him to music

People's Artist of Russia, cellist Sergey Roldugin played a significant role in introducing Russian President Vladimir Putin to music. This was stated by the Russian leader himself to journalists on May 19 during a conversation with students of the Sirius music school.

According to Putin, in high school he started going to the Philharmonic and other places where music was played in St. Petersburg.

"We were friends with Sergey Pavlovich [Roldugin], he started inviting me to all sorts of events, concerts. I visited them later without him," the president admitted.
