Ushakov announced the agreement between Putin and Trump to continue the dialogue on Ukraine

During a telephone conversation, Russian President Vladimir Putin and American leader Donald Trump agreed to continue a dialogue on the conflict in Ukraine. This was announced to journalists on May 19 by Presidential aide Yuri Ushakov.

He noted that during the talks, the heads of state also touched upon international topics, for example, the recent tour of the US president in the Middle East.

"It is very important that the presidents agreed to continue the dialogue on all the issues raised, including the Ukrainian issue, and have in mind the possibility of organizing a personal meeting in the future," the Russian presidential aide stressed.

Answering a question from reporters about a potential meeting between Putin and Trump, Ushakov pointed out that both presidents are interested in it, but it is important that the meeting is not empty, but productive.
