Apple was fined 3 million rubles in Russia for not deleting false information


The Tagansky court of Moscow imposed a fine of 3 million rubles to the American company Apple for refusing to delete false information. This was reported on May 19 by a correspondent of Izvestia from the courtroom.
The court found Apple guilty under Part 2 of Article 13.41 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation ("Violation of the procedure for restricting access to information, information resources, access to which is subject to restriction in accordance with the legislation of the Russian Federation").
Also on May 19, the company was fined a total of 7.5 million rubles under three protocols on LGBT propaganda (the movement is banned in the Russian Federation and recognized as extremist).
