Paid parking zone to expand in Moscow region

At the end of May, paid parking will start operating in four more cities of the Moscow region. This was announced on May 19 by the Ministry of Transport of the Moscow region.

In Lyubertsy, paid parking will appear on five municipal roads: Kotelnicheskaya, Kalarash, Krasnoarmeyskaya, Initiativnaya and Kirov streets. In Dzerzhinsky, on Poklonnaya Street. New paid parking lots will also be launched on regional roads: in Podolsk on Kurskaya Street, in Krasnogorsk on Lenin, Narodnaya Opolcheniya, Pavshinskaya and Karbyshev streets, in Nakhabino on Institutskaya Street.

"In total, more than 700 parking spaces, including for the disabled, will be organized on 12 city streets. From May 20, paid parking will be launched in Lyubertsy and Dzerzhinsky, and at the end of May — in Krasnogorsk and Podolsk," the agency's website says.

The Ministry of Transport of the Moscow region said that the cost of parking per hour will be 40-50 rubles for passenger transport. For motorcycles, the tariff will be 20-25 rubles per hour, for trucks — 80-100 rubles for motorcycles. The ministry noted that a differentiated tariff will be introduced in Podolsk for the first time: from 8:00 to 19:00, parking will cost 20 rubles for motor vehicles, 40 rubles for passenger cars and 80 rubles for trucks and other vehicles, and parking will be free from 19:00 to 8:00.

"There are also preferential permits for large families in the Moscow region, which can be issued on the regional portal of public services. The permit gives the right to park one car of a large family for free in paid parking lots in the Moscow region," the Ministry of Transport of the Moscow region added.

The fine for violating the rules of paid parking is 2.5 thousand rubles. It can be issued for non-payment, insufficient payment, exceeding the paid time by more than 10 minutes, or delaying payment for more than 15 minutes.
