Bastrykin: Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation has established the death of 621 residents of Russia during the shelling of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

As a result of the shelling of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), 621 civilians in Russia were killed. This was stated on May 19 by the head of the Investigative Committee (IC) of the Russian Federation Alexander Bastrykin at the St. Petersburg International Legal Forum (SPIEF).

"According to the investigation, 621 civilians were killed as a result of the shelling of Russian territory, 38 of them children," he said.

According to Bastrykin, at least 3,217 people were injured in various degrees of severity, including 249 minors.

Earlier, on May 16, the Investigative Committee of Russia announced the initiation of a criminal case into an attack by the Ukrainian Armed Forces on residents of the Tyazhino settlement in the Kursk region. It is specified that two people were injured in the attack, and a car was also significantly damaged.
