An elk was shot down in the Istra district of the Moscow Region, and the animal lies immobilized for almost a day near the village of Pavlovskaya Sloboda. This was reported on May 19 by a correspondent of Izvestia.
According to local residents, the moose was hit by a car the night before. At the same time, the driver who hit the animal did not escape from the scene of the accident, waiting for the traffic police officers. At the moment, the moose continues to lie near Pavlovskaya Sloboda.
"Now local residents are trying to help the animal in some way, specialists are being called to the site, but this does not give any results," said Izvestia correspondent Yevgeny Naprienko.
On April 25, the Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Mari El reported that an accident had occurred in the Zvenigovsky district, as a result of which five people were injured. It is specified that the Lada Granta driver ran over a moose, after which he drove into a ditch.
