Law enforcement officers in Paris have discovered a bust of singer and leader of The Doors rock band Jim Morrison by Croatian artist Mladen Mikulin, stolen from the musician's grave at the Pere Lachaise cemetery. This was reported on May 19 by RTL radio station with reference to the Paris prosecutor's office.

The bust of the artist was accidentally found during a search in the framework of a fraud case. The police did not disclose the identity of the person who appropriated the sculpture.

It is specified that the bust was installed on the grave on July 3, 1981, to mark the 10th anniversary of Morrison's death. According to RTL, the sculpture was stolen back in 1988. By the time she disappeared, she was already badly damaged: fans had painted graffiti on her, chipped off her nose and mouth.

On May 15, France 24 TV channel reported the theft of a bronze statue of the wife of US President Donald Trump, Melania, in the town of Sevnica in Slovenia. To take away the life-size bronze monument, the attackers chopped off the statue in the ankle area.
